Mudra Dance School offers instruction in Indian classical dance within a warm and inspiring environment for students of all ages. Our classes nurture artistic growth while cultivating strong foundations in rhythm, movement, expression, and a deep appreciation for cultural tradition.
Bharatanatyam is known for its precision, rhythm, expressive storytelling, and sculptural beauty. Students develop technique, posture, coordination, and stage presence through structured training.
Mohiniyattam is a graceful classical dance form from Kerala known for its flowing movement, elegance, and expressive depth. Students learn fluidity, abhinaya, rhythm, and refined body control.
Mudra Dance School is led by Chithra Cijith, an accomplished dancer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi. Having performed at esteemed cultural venues and community events in India and the United States, she is deeply committed to preserving and sharing the grace, discipline, and heritage of Indian classical dance. She also serves as a guest lecturer at High Point University, where she conducts Bharatanatyam workshops, and is a Doordarshan-graded artist.
